Hexicon
I have a wireless network at home. I use my desktop as the connection to the internet through dial-up (ICS - XP Pro). (I cant get any broadband, for now). My desktop has a Belkin USB Network 802.11b adapter, my wifes laptop has an 802.11b PC card. I also use my Toshiba e740 (built in wifi). My kids computer is not connected to the network at all. Here is where you come in. If I got a Linksys Etherfast WAP/Cable/DSL Router (BEFW11S4) would I be able to use it for sharing my dial-up (basically, just as another net adapter). I would move the adapter on my computer to the kids computer. Can the Linksys just be a basic net adapter until I can eventually get some kind of DSL or Cable connection. I know it would be overkill right now, but when I get the broadband it would be ready to go, and I wouldn't have to get another piece of equipment. I hope you get the idea. Thanks in advance for your *ahem* constructive comments. :shifty:
