Too bad cause I really like this theme but having to re-apply every boot up is just too strenuous. Sorry man, love the theme but can't stand the one bug.

if you use the winamp controls it won't get messed up on reboot.

and how is reapplying a theme too strenuous? how often do you people restart? damn...

i don't use this vs. so i am in no rush to finish it. the more you people annoy me the slower i will attempt to finish it.

heres whats this thread is filled with "look at me i found a bug that no one notices un less you look for it, i just made this theme anoying to 50 million people who never noticed it by now!, oh and btw, heres a fix i made for it, even thou n00dle and SteveFC probbly have already fixed it for the next build" and "whens the next release cxoming out, i know the latest one only came out 3 days ago but i still wanna!"

and yes...this thread sucks

Well I have a laptop so I shut down more than once a day. To move from home to school or whatever. So that's why it is such an issue for me.

Wow, whoever knew that a theme artist would be so cranky about finishing his own theme?

My opinion is that if your really passionate about the theme, you should follow it through till the end, bugs and all, but obviously that's not the case here because he "doesnt use it himself"

And the system tray icon couldn't be any more obvious, I've already fixed it for myself, again, another side effect of the author(s) not caring about their work as much as they should.

n00dle started the vs and asked me to help. i never had any intention of making and/or using a winamp based visual style.

i didn't mind making the vs at first because i wasn't busy at the time. right now i have too much other **** to worry about than a stupid visual style.

you do realize it's just a visual style don't you? this isn't a life or death thing we're talking about here...

Ridgeburner,

I don't have the tray problem myself but as you may have read many do. Perhaps for them you could post the fix. Hopefully, whatever is going on in StevoFC's life will improve and he will finish the vs.

Take it easy guys, I'm not working on it at the momnet cause I'm more focused in school and graphic designing to get money... cuz trully I have a huge lack of green...

So, the theme WILL be finished but not for now, if ridgeburner posts the fix [wich stevoFC and I are sick and tired of trying to find it] then I'll post a XPAmp 1.3 with all the posted fixes..

Later

n00dle,

In the Customizing Windows forum under "Topic Title" there use to be a Topic called, "Small Taskbar Problem Solved" or something very similar to that. Perhaps one of the Moderators can point you in the right direction on the subject as it may have the solution to the problem with the taskbar and how to solve it.

if you use the winamp controls it won't get messed up on reboot.

Yep, just use them and the prob is almost fixed...

I just get a little cutoff bug but it doesnt really bother me, here is a pic of it. It's alot better than having your icons dissapear. So try that out if you are having the problem...

show in the picture above. and it's very disapointing to your Theme Fans when you let them Down. But i'm

hopeing you guys get this released soon. it's Very disapointing of you guys.

when the **** did we say we'd release a new version yesterday?

if it's any of your business i was in a car accident yesterday, which kind of slowed me down working on anything. eventhough it was never stated when we are releasing a new version.

and it's not gold. it's the citrus color scheme included in winamp5

people like you will make me care even less about finishing this vs or making any others for that matter. if no one noticed i don't release anything here due to people just like yourself.

its called closemindness there are hundreds of other themes and people dont "appreciate" them. This is just bull**** craze for a regular theme. In fact I'll prove it to you when i'll finish my theme.

edit: stevo hope ur fine... don't mind those people.

more demand = higher price ...hahaah.

Hey StevoFC nice to see your quick Response. it's obviously not noticeable that i was actually being Nice. with no cursing or anything. Neowin has became corrupt, just like you. Maybe if you had actually posted that reason for for delay, we would be okay with it, maybe if you didn't make a theme that everyone loves people wouldn't care, but you created a good visual style knowing the full facts that if people love it, they are gonna wanted colours, and all bugz to be ironed out. I'm really disapointed at how the Visual Style artists behave towards their fans. But okay StevoFC i'm sure someone else will create a better visual and forget all about yours. Goodluck Stevo

my point is there is no delay. we never said when we would release a new version. so as far as i'm concerned don't expect one until we say if or when we will release it. and when there is an update you better hope n00dle posts it here, because i'm not.

    • Still 3x what it should cost. So, it seems the trick is to increase price by 6x so that a reduction in price back to 4x looks like a steal. "You savvy shoppers win again!" I'm glad I'm not in a desperate spot to actually even need this overpriced crap. Hopefully, it comes back down by the time for when (or if) I ever do.

    • Microsoft wants to end printer driver headaches with Windows Ready Print by Usama Jawad A few days ago, Microsoft released Windows 11 Experimental build 26300.8553, bringing a ton of enhancements such as Start menu customization, search improvements, Taskbar polish, and other minor UI tweaks. Another relatively major enhancement snuck deep within the change log was related to upgrades to the Windows printing experience. Now, Microsoft has shared more details about these benefits. For starters, Microsoft has renamed its Modern Print Platform to Windows Ready Print. The company believes that this name highlights its shift in strategy, which now focuses on modernizing, securing, and streamlining the printing experience for Windows devices. Some of the upgrades present in Windows Ready Print have already been seeded to customers and partners. This includes ending support for third-party printer drivers via Windows Update and transitioning towards the Internet Printing Protocol (IPP) and the native Windows IPP printer driver. In line with these changes, new printer installations will default to Windows Ready Print on eligible devices starting from July 2026. However, Microsoft recognizes that not all environments will be able to migrate to this platform immediately, so it will allow users to choose between installing the printer via Windows Ready Print or the traditional OEM process. Users will be able to toggle this configuration through Settings > Bluetooth & Devices > Printers & Scanners > Printer preferences. This control applies only to new printer installations, and its functionality can also be modified via Group Policy as follows: Launch Group Policy Editor Navigate to Local Computer Policy -> Administrative Templates -> Printers Find and select 'Configure Windows Ready Print driver ranking' -> double click to open it Select 'Enabled' (if you wish to enable Windows Ready Print driver selection) or 'Disabled' (if you wish to explicitly disable Windows Ready Print driver selection). Select Apply Select OK Similarly, if you set up Windows protected print mode through the same setting in Windows 11, it will also default to using Windows Ready Print exclusively. Microsoft hopes that these improvements will help eradicate dependency on OEM-specific driver installation processes and simplify printer installations. We'll likely find out more about other tangible benefits in the coming months.
