Question
i11usive
I have an Exchange user with a 1.7GB live mailbox and a 45GB online archive - held in a separate database on the same server. We have moved the user's live mailbox to a different Exchange server within the forest - leaving the archive in place on the previous database server. This works well with OWA and ActiveSync, however Microsoft Outlook (2010 or 2013) will not display the archive from the list of folders, giving the message "This set of folders cannot be opened. Network problems are preventing connection to Microsoft Exchange".
The two Exchange servers are SP3 running rollup update 11 -- fully up to date. There are no network issues between the two servers. As mentioned above, we can access the live mailbox and the archive from OWA. Anybody have any similar problems? Incidentally, we had to remove the users DOMAIN1 account and recreate a DOMAIN2 account and assign full mailbox permissions on the live mailbox.
