0 asy1mpo
I have been testing ripping my DVDs and converting to divx and c how it goes. I have ripped fine to VOB files using smartripper. The problem is from VOB to Divx. I used flaskmpeg and seems OK (its complex getting on the dimensions etc right but anyway). the final avi was though of poor quality. Its worse the video lets put it that way. It has blocks when playing back which i have read somewhere is macroblocks??? It said to increase the bitrate (but that increases file size) and try reducing dimensions. Did both but still has the blocks - maybe a bit better. Any ideas I have seen divx avi movies about on the net that fit on 1 CDR and the quality is much much better. I even have a fight club of only 550MB that is of pretty good quality. Any ideas?? Please help.
