cant instal NAV 2002


Question

i cant install Norton Antivirus 2002, due to "The system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation" yet i was able to install as recently as yesterday, and havent changed any policies. even logging on as Administratir, not just with admin rights, still get the same msg. this sucks. can anybody helP?

I had the exact same problem with mine.What I ended up doing is restoring my computer to a couple days earlier,before the failed install previously.This cleared up the problem,plus it allowed me to lengthen the subscription on the update service it (nav2002) comes with by about 3 months.

I didn't get that message when I installed Norton SystemWorks 2002, but the NAV component wasn't working correctly due to the corrupted ISO file I have. If this problem persists, try McAfee or PC-Cillin. If only Windows XP can support NSW 2001, which I actually bought, then I could have all my e-mail accounts protected correctly and the scheduling working properly.
