Correct folder to place notification sounds in Android 6.x?

I believe it was in \media\audio\notifications in some previous versions of Android.

 

Is it still that location in Android 6.x?

Should be a Notifications folder on the root of the SDCARD.

You should copy the mp3 file into the Notifications directory--the full path is /storage/scard0/Notifications, or /storage/emulated/0/Notifications. After placing the file there, if you still don't get it as an option, try rebooting.
