I was thinking the same thing, except, the bandwidth is worse so is it actually better if it’s essentially the same die anyways? So it’s not technically better performance just cheaper and “affordable” MSRP.
I get the CUDA core argument, but shrinking the memory bandwidth and the amount of memory, will just add confusion and complexity.
You are right there probably should have been a 5090 and a 5090 TI. That had a CUDA core count between those two values and maybe even lesser memory (not bandwidth) but then again we didn’t have a memory crisis a year ago.
FWIW, the RSS feed URL I was using for Neowin news until it broke... https://www.neowin.net/news/rss/ ... is now working again in both the QuiteRSS and RSS Guard apps.
And for consistency the workaround URL I had started using instead... http://feeds.feedburner.com/neowin-main ...is now broken in both those apps.
