Only thing better would be for driver's head to fly off

That's an idiot for sure. exhibition of speed and reckless driving would be his ticket I'm sure.

Shelby GT500 and JHBrown do indeed get a pass -

Meth heads do not drive $55,000 cars. ;)

new gt's aren't cheap...the one I would want hits 42 sticker.  hardly meth head pricing.  If I went with the one I really wanted, it would be approaching 65k

Someone has been eyeing the gt350r ;)

Mine was 42k new.

If I were to do one again, it has to be turbo or supercharged.  Can't go any other way...even if I have to add it in myself.

The Roush SC is factory warrantied if you do it through Ford.

there are a few options which are also warrantied through their independent factories.

By no means am I new to these cars or their performance history or the aftermarket parts that are offered.  my screen name has more to do with me driving and modifying a supercharged ford 302 pushrod engine than it does with that book case ;)

OK - Gonna try and make amends here.

I saw this GT350 today and thought it looked cool, and sounded great.

I tried to get a better picture because it did look different that a normal Mustang but I didnt want him to think I was wanting to race - would have been 1 smoked Q50

@T3X4Sand I have had this whole Mustang discussion many times before. I also find it awkward. I believe he gives me a pass since I own a Shelby GT500, other than that, he hates normal Mustangs with a passion. One of his reasons is that when he was growing up, most trailer trash people had Mustangs. Correct me if I'm wrong @T3X4S. One of my arguments were that I live in a middle class/upper middle class area, and there is an Engineer, and a Lawyer just on my street alone, that drive Mustangs. Pull out of my cul-de-sac, and you see many more on the other blocks. Silly guy! :D

ELEANOR WANNABE! :p

(Lets see how many people get the reference)

(Double points in Confirming the exact year model Mustang and variant)

rwd can be forgiving provided you aren't an idiot behind the wheel.  you break loose and start going a direction you don't want to, let go of the gas, don't keep it going...you can and will hurt someone and wreck.

Not sure about US Fords, but US Chevy engines can be upgraded with 32 Valve Quad Cam Kits

(So my US PSN friend keeps telling me, wouldn't that be a cheaper alternative than going full turbo? <If such kits exist>?)

Gone in 60 Seconds...

Which one, the original or remake?

First one was a '71, second was a '67. The '67 was  Shelby GT500. Not sure of the original.

How do you like the Q50?  Test drove a '16 Q50 4 cylinder last week ... which seemed nice (though underpowered because of the 4) ...the ride and all the gizmos were nice.  Thinking about getting a '16 Q50 sport (400hp) when it becomes more readily available.  Seems to be a good "bang for the buck"

Nope I WAS WRONG

I just checked because you said it was a 71.. (Hmmm, turns out it wasn't a Mach 1 neither according to wiki... man when I'm wrong I'm REALLY wrong) :p

Well that all depends. Yes full turbo kits exist.

If the engine does not come with quad cams, probably thinking dual overhead cams (two cams per head), the head would have to be changed to accept the dual overhead. You can purchase performance cams, but honestly adding a turbo kit can give a stock motor 50% more horsepower. Kind of hard to do that with just changing the cams. A 300 hp motor would go up to 450 or more with a turbo, changing cams may gain 25hp or 325hp.

For what it is worth to get to 300 rwhp out of a 302 pushing 215 hp at the crank or 185 to the wheels, new heads, cam, and intake manifold needed to be added or 1 supercharger kit. Add heads, cam, and intake (with a ton of fuel mods, a custom tune, and opening up the motor a bit, going 30 over, creating a 306) you could have around 575 to 600 rwhp...around 400 without the super charger.

Naturally aspartated without heavy modification (read more than just cams) won't give you the same power gains as a turbo kit. It just can't flow the same amount of air into the motor.

Here is one of the biggest turbo kit manufacturers for American cars

Yeah, you would have gotten spanked. Hell, the regular GT S550 Mustangs would have gotten you. As a matter of fact, and depending on which Q50 you own, the turbo 4 cylinder S550 Mustang would have given you a run for your money.:D

    • Yup, broke my comp… again. its times like this when I regret AMD. This just never happens on NV.
    • Huh? You're delusional calling the Steam Deck dead. It is so successful that it has sold out multiple times. Even after the price hike this year it sold out again with 24 hours of being back in stock. The demand is real and has not died down even after four years.
    • Same place "Unreal III" is, in everyone's thoughts!
    • So how much water is used in that "initial charge" and how often will it need to be recharged?
