I genuinely didn't know that you could use that search box look in the whole the store, and I've been using the client for a long time.

Well there you go!  Something good came from you taking the time to share your issues with me. :)

I still don't get your "No way to group games by tags. Sorting them by tags kind of do that but there's no separators in between." part but otherwise it was interesting to see a different perspective on the client.

Cleary you want it to be much more of a social network than I do and that's cool.  It's certainly not now but I'm not sure they even want it to be.  It will be interesting to see where things go moving forward. (I'm not OPPOSED to social network features, they're just not something I look for or use personally).

Putting links to the forum in the store, sorting reviews by rating, and an mods library would all be cool additions but for me they are pretty minor (well except mods... that would be HUGE... PLEASE merge with nexus, rofl) so it's interesting to me to see that these kinds of things are so critical to you.

Honestly the last and only time i used that search box i swear it searched thru my library only. I would need to try it again.

Personally i use the forum and negative reviews to filter bad games or buggy games from good games. So far it served me very well. That's why i would like a forum link in the store page of a game. Would make it easier to go to the forum after reading the reviews. Like you said not a big deal but little things like that prevent me from making it my main hub to manage my games library.

I manage my Steam library like that. I have lot of hd space and i don't uninstall games because i want to keep them in my daily backup just in case GoG or Steam shut down one day. I have a couple of categories. "Finished", "Playing", "Backlog", "Abandoned". On steam games are regrouped by categories and i can fold categories like "Abandoned", "Backlog", "Finished" and keep only the "Playing" category expanded. On GoG i can create the same tags. But the only way to group games by tags is to sort them. But if i decide to show two tags then while they are sorted they are not grouped i.e. the last game of the first tag shown is right before the first game of the 2nd tag shown. Also as far as i know the only way to "fold" a tag is to filter it. But the filter is reset every time i close the client. So every time i open the client the "Abandoned", "Backlog" and "Finished" tags are shown again.  Maybe it's just me not figuring how to use the Gog Client i dunno.

GoG merging with Nexus would be awesome. Nexus Mod Manager is fine but that would be much better if it was integrated with GoG and would support more games. Would require lot of works though maybe CD Projekt Red doesn't have enough money or time for that.

It's not really that i love the social features. I barely used them on Steam. It's more that i hate having to use multiple services. Like if i want to share a screenshot or a video with a random person i currently play with on Steam or GoG i want to do it via Steam or GoG i don't want to have to share my Facebook or Discord with this person since i don't know him or her much. Again maybe it's just me not figuring how to use the GoG client but i did not see any way to share screenshots or videos on GoG or post on someone else profile. Like i have health issues right now and a guy i play games with posted on my profile on Steam asking if i was alright cause i did not log in the last 3 weeks. I think it's nice.

As for the achievements i'm not an achievements ###### by any means. If a game is less expensive on GoG i wont care about anything other than that. But at the same price it's a plus for me. I don't care too much about Steam DRM as long as it's the only DRM used. I'm fine with it and never had trouble with it. If Steam ever shut down i'm gonna hack it will be easy i'm sure of that. Every time i want to buy a new indie game on GoG i don't see any mention of it having achievements on the store page. I understand old games wont have achievements. But i would expect new indie games to have them. Maybe again it's just me not seeing where the info about achievements is located but i don't recall seeing any mention of achievements for any games other than The Witchers III on GoG. Dunno maybe i should spend more time with the client.

It was LaP who made the original comment, not me :). I was just surprised that I never pressed enter when searching in Galaxy.

Anyway, for me, a way to filter games that I already own and games that I'm not interested in would be the most welcome improvement, with review filters as a distant second.

ROFL, sorry about that!  I guess my brain just saw user name L... and kept on going.

It searches your library as you type and right below the box is a link that say something like "Search for <whatever you have typed> in the store".  That's from memory (I'm at work atm) but I believe that's correct.

I'm with you one these.  I think a link from the store to the game forum and the ability to sort the reviews by rating would be good additions, I just think they're very minor and wouldn't pick one client over another based on them.

No, I gotcha now.  I honestly didn't understand what you were saying before but I think I got you now.  You want the installed games list on the left side of the clients to be in collapsable groups.  I can see that, I don't keep that many games installed at once but I can absolutely see how it would be an issue if you had a ton installed.  Thanks for clarifying.

Yeah, as I said it's a dream of mine... I don't think it would actually happen but at the same time I don't think CD Projekt Red wants to build something new that rivals Nexus and other mod communities.  So as much as I'd like mod support in the client I really don't think it's going to happen.

I'm not trying to belittle social features.  I'm not interested in them personally but I totally understand that others are and there's nothing wrong with that.  I since I have no use for them personally I haven't really looked into it but as far as I know you are correct, there is no way to share videos or pictures with other Galaxy users (that I know of).

Likewise I'm not trying to belittle achievements.  They ARE there in Galaxy though if the developer chooses to support them.  About half the games I have installed right now have them and most of the ones that don't are older games.  Gog has clearly provided the necessary tools for developers to use them it just seems that the developers of the games you play have elected not to support them.  I'm not sure there is anything gog.com can do about that.  Unless maybe it's unnecessarily hard to add them and they could make it easier or something but they aren't going to go through other companies games and make achievements for them.  They've provided the tools I don't know if you can fault them for developers not using them.

They still doing GOG Connect? I got some game for free recently (not Neverwinter, it was another one) and I went looking for it. Couldn't find a mention of it anywhere on the site. I like to check it about once a month or so, or just generally whenever I get on GOG, which isn't much.

Genetic engineering has made human reproduction possible without the need for man's involvement. Women have decided to fight their final battle and to shape the world the way they want it. But if that's not enough, women have a new laser weapon which kills only men, and the few remaining men are being turned into "she clones" in the bionic clinics. And there's more, a rebel feminist has stolen a supply of warheads and intents to start a global nuclear war. Wait though, there's a glimmer of hope. • Mafia: The Old Country expansion Man of Honor announced, brings back Salieri from original by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe During Summer Game Fest, 2K and Hanger 13 brought out a new Mafia: The Old Country trailer, revealing the game's first expansion. Named Man of Honor, this is slated to add two new chapters to the Enzo storyline that the game follows. There is an iconic character returning to the series with this expansion, with players set to run into Ennio Salieri, the future Don of the Salieri crime family. Fans of the original Mafia, or its Definitive Edition remake, may remember that name as one of the biggest characters in the storyline. This expansion is set prior to his rise to being the kingpin in the City of Lost Heaven. "Set in Sicily during the winter of 1905, Enzo Favara has proven himself a reliable soldier of the Torrisi crime family in the months since his initiation," says the studio about the new chapters. "Now, the Don entrusts him and Cesare with a delicate assignment of assisting Ennio Salieri, a man of honor recently released from prison and intent on reclaiming what is his." Working at Salieri's side, players will be heading into fresh environments as they return to the role of Enzo as a high-ranking soldato. The studio also promises brand-new weapons, fresh vehicles, and charms to collect in this expansion. Moreover, the expansion will add new content to the updated Free Ride mode. Alongside new collectibles and locations, this will add more challenges to beat alongside Salieri, which are described as runs that will "test the skills of even the most elite mafiosi." The Mafia: The Old Country Man of Honor story expansion will release on August 14, 2026, across PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. It will cost $10 for owners of the base game to jump into.

    • Telltale returns with The Wolf Among Us, re-revealing the sequel and a new remaster by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Telltale Games, the studio known for its episodic games from the 2000s, had a surprise appearance at the Summer Game Fest showcase today. The studio has gone through a collapse, an acquisition, and a revival but has largely gone silent in recent years. Today's sudden announcement was for the popular The Wolf Among Us series, with news about the sequel and a remaster dropping. Set after the events of the 2013-released title, the sequel will bring back Biby Wolf for a new adventure in Fabletown. This town of fairy tale characters is becoming unstable, with Snow White not being able to keep order as before. "When a brutal series of crimes threatens to fracture the fragile balance holding Fabletown together, Bigby Wolf, sheriff of Fabletown, finds himself drawn into a dangerous conspiracy that reaches deep into the city’s criminal underworld," says the studio. "As suspicion spreads across the city and powerful forces work against him, Bigby must uncover the truth and decide what kind of sheriff - and what kind of wolf - he is willing to become." At the same time, Telltale also announced The Wolf Among Us Remastered, bringing back the classic with a fresh coat of paint. This will include all five episodes from the original game plus over an hour of extra content that will offer behind-the-scenes videos, cast interviews, image galleries, and deleted scenes. The remaster will also have updated visuals and improved UI elements and accessibility features, alongside upgrades to the animations, audio, and frame rates. Telltale has been working on this project for almost a decade now, but if the new release schedule holds, fans will be able to jump into The Wolf Among Us 2 sometime in 2027. As for The Wolf Among Us Remastered, this is slated to release during this holiday season.
