Those errors look to be coming from one of the ad providers' javascript files - but I'll check to see if they're somehow causing problems for the javascript that handles posting.

Just for help in tracking this down, what browsers are you guys using?

Interesting, those posts came in a minute apart. You definitely didn't press Submit Reply twice?

It happened to me before....  I clicked once and it said "Saving" on the button.  It didn't go through but when I scrolled up to look at the minispy, my post is there.  I clicked it then another post went in by itself for second time.

This is exactly what happened in the 2016 Random Text thread. I ended up editing the second post. :s

How frequently do you notice it happening? Is it once or twice a day? Does it happen at specific times of day? This is one of those ones that's really hard to track down, especially as I've never had it happen to me to be able to debug it at the time.

@DaveLegg

I forgot to add; my browser is FF 49 on iMac.

Not sure...  it happens once awhile..  It happened to me about 2 or 3 days ago...  Boo Berry's just had one in the Text thread a few minutes ago.

Maybe once every few weeks .   i was not paying attention or keep the dates down between the issue times.

If you see it again, could you post a link to the two posts in this thread, then I can look up the times they were made and see if there's anything in the logs around that time that could suggest what's happening. I'll start by looking into the two in this thread over the weekend, and see if that gets me anywhere

  • 3 weeks later...

I've been having text/quotation duplication issues with every post I make for months now. I've signed out/back in everywhere as someone suggested and I still have problems.

    • Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) 18.1.1.5 by Razvan Serea Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) is a utility for completely removing AMD/NVIDIA/INTEL graphics drivers and related packages from your system, attempting to eliminate all leftovers (including registry entries, folders and files, driver store). Though AMD/NVIDIA/INTEL drivers can usually be removed via the Windows Control Panel, this uninstaller tool was created for situations where standard uninstall fails, or when you need to fully remove NVIDIA or ATI graphics card drivers. After using this driver cleaner, your system will behave as though it’s the first time you’re installing a new driver—similar to a fresh Windows installation. As with all such tools, we recommend creating a restore point beforehand, allowing you to undo changes if issues arise. If you're having trouble installing an older or newer driver, try it—there are reports that it resolves such problems. Recommended usage: The tool can be used in Normal mode but for absolute stability when using DDU, Safemode is always the best. Make a backup or a system restore (but it should normally be pretty safe). It is best to exclude the DDU folder completely from any security software to avoid issues. You do NOT need to uninstall the driver prior using DDU. Requirements: .NET Framework 4.8 Compatible with Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10, and 11 (32-bit or 64-bit) Note: Using on Insider Preview builds is at your own risk. Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) 18.1.1.5 changelog: Intel: Added NPU presence detection before removing shared DLL files (these were previously left to prevent potential NPU-related issues). Intel: Added optional NPU removal Improved "Extension" driver removal process. Updated several translations. • I just ordered a new MSI X870 board, hasn't even arrived yet. I checked the downloads page, and it has the firmware released on 6/11/2025 including the updated AGESA code.
    • There used to be an independent video game store in West Edmonton Mall around 20 years ago, I'm not sure when it went out of business, but they were selling console & PC games for $70±, I think it was so they could cover their rent!
