Deus Ex: Mankind Divided keeps crashing to desktop, newest version already installed

This issue has been plaguing me for the last 3 days now, I am playing new game+ doing the mission At the crossroads, and I'm stuck in the metro station. As soon as I move towards the stairs, the game freezes, windows pops up a message that the game has quit responding and then it dumps me to the desktop. I just finished re-downloading the game from steam just in case that was the issue, but even prior to that I verified local files and it found nothing wrong. I have the most up to date Nvidia drivers as well as everything else, so at this point I don't know what to do, short of trying to start a new game and see what happens. Does anybody have any other ideas?

Is the game good? I liked the older ones.

The game is good, I have the older one on PC as well, and I like Mankind Divided a bit better!

I found a work around, I just got back on the train and went to a different station and walked around in that part of town then went back and it worked without a freeze.
