Word 2016 stops responding when trying to open OneDrive document


Question

Running Windows 10 (build 14393) and Office 2016.

 

When I try to open a Word document (not tried other formats, yet) from C:\Users\Username\OneDrive\Documents, Word stops responding on the splash screen.

 

Any ideas?

I copied the file to my desktop and the copy loaded instantly in Word.

I cannot reproduce this bug using 14926 and Word 2016. Have you tried signing out of one drive and back in? Also try moving the document into another onedrive folder and see if it responds any quicker.
