ScootsNZ
I'm a total Linux newbie. Virgin in fact. I've installed Debian Wheezy onto my machine and gone through the entire setup sequence. Taken the "install" disk out after it loaded everything I needed from the local server. I went through the setup process, gave a name and password. When the machine comes up with the login screen it has my name in the box and when I click it it opens a box below which asks for my password. I enter the password I originally gave and it tells me "Sorry that didn't work. Please try again. I try again several times and the screen comes up with my name and underneath that it says in smaller letters "Not listed?" I try entering my name on the line and give my password and after several attempts the screen changes to white with a unhappy face and the words "Oh no! Something has gone wrong. A problem has occured and the system can't recover. Please logout and try again." and the logout box comes up. What have I done wrong in the setup and how do I sort it out or start the setup again?
