I ran DNS Jumper and it took an unusually long time to test the DNS servers. We are having extreme cold in PA tonight. May be affecting cable internet. Hum Posted December 16, 2016 Author Share Posted December 16, 2016 Weird. I tried my Android tablet when I got up. Chrome works fine. So I rebooted my desktop, and then Chrome worked right away. Hum Posted December 19, 2016 Author Share Posted December 19, 2016 (edited) I tried completely uninstalling Chrome, removing Registry entries, turning off malware protection, then reinstalling Chrome. Still doing the gray screen; not connecting. I can only guess it is related to Windows updates. Chrome is not connecting at all now. Hum Posted December 19, 2016 Author Share Posted December 19, 2016 I see now what the problem is. There is something incompatible between the latest Chrome and my Malware protection.
