Hi itsme_4ucz, can you give me more information? Please write your system configuration, and your Internet Explorer version. Did you get any message during the installation? Can you open Windows in safe mode? Do you have a laptop?

guys helpme out with this .

Thx.

i know why, you have Windows 98 (not se, the first windows 98). This patch was made just for Windows 98 SE (second edition). I know all about this due to it happened to me :pinch: . You have to reinstall Windows 98 in MS-Dos. I couldn't get into Safe Mode due to this so you have to install it in MS-Dos. If you don't know how, put in your start up disk, boot with CD support, put your Windows 98 disk in and then type yourdrive:\setup .

Hope it helps!

I have it installed on my laptop, works great :)

I don't know why, but some users end up at paysforsurveys.com. Please try the mirror, or go MajorGeeks.

Web1000 has a nasty habit of sending non-US users to sites like that (or even porn sites). I had this issue with them before once too. Another good free host to try is Netfirms.

Wanted to install it on my sis's PC but seems risky...

I'm the same type of person when it comes to programs, I dont install anything that I dont know what it is.

I had some parts laying around, I put them together, installed 98SE and the UNOFFICIAL WIN98SE SP1, no problems at all.

I will try to take some screenshots of the process, there is nothing much to see anyway.

/edit - Screenshots

Could anyone help me? I'm trying to add more screenshots to the same thread, I have options Keep current attachment, Remove attachment and Replace with a new attachment, I already loaded a screenshot, when I try to load the next one, it replaces the 1st one, I have it on Keep current attachment. Thanks

It appears that this Pack is for only suitable for a PC which meets a specific set of rules.

Obviously the first one being that it is for Win98 Second Edition, but it looks like some are having additional problems, I just wish that the problems could be highlighted so that a more strict set of guidelines can be created.

That was mentioned at all times, its even on the title.

If those people that have problems will post a screenshot or type the exact error message, it will help Gape for the FINAL release.

I really don't have any idea why some ppl are having problems, its just an executable file, it extracts itself and continues to the installation and copying files itself.

After that, it ask you to reboot computer, thats all.

I built a computer to test it, it is a 133mHZ, 24MB RAM, 2GB HD, etc, and had no problems.

hey gape i can host you with out any ads or anything as long as the site is under 20 mb also if you dont want me to host you i can add a mirror if you want

ps. i love the classic os's i want a copy of 3.11 but cant find a copy

Cool. Perhaps people are having problems with this after months of use on a PC. I think it's best to install all this stuff straight after a clean install of 98SE. That's just my thought though. I'm going to get a second hand laptop soon. I will install it on that and see how it goes (afresh that is). Cheers for making such a great package. Maybe some one should make a similar thing for the standard Windows 98. Be more of a challange.

    • Not even an OLED display on the laptops. Also it seems that the laptop design isn't the same as the Surface Ultra model. Looks like bargain bin at high prices.

Targeted at server, desktop and embedded use, it is now the only professional-quality virtualization solution that is also Open Source Software. Presently, VirtualBox runs on Windows, Linux, macOS, and Solaris hosts and supports a large number of guest operating systems including but not limited to Windows (NT 4.0, 2000, XP, Server 2003, Vista, 7, 8, Windows 10 and Windows 11), DOS/Windows 3.x, Linux (2.4, 2.6, 3.x, 4.x, 5.x and 6.x), Solaris and OpenSolaris, OS/2, OpenBSD, NetBSD and FreeBSD. Some of the features of VirtualBox are: Modularity. VirtualBox has an extremely modular design with well-defined internal programming interfaces and a client/server design. This makes it easy to control it from several interfaces at once: for example, you can start a virtual machine in a typical virtual machine GUI and then control that machine from the command line, or possibly remotely. VirtualBox also comes with a full Software Development Kit: even though it is Open Source Software, you don't have to hack the source to write a new interface for VirtualBox. Virtual machine descriptions in XML. The configuration settings of virtual machines are stored entirely in XML and are independent of the local machines. Virtual machine definitions can therefore easily be ported to other computers. • OK, now ask yourself how are they going to enforce that law? By requiring every single adult to prove their age and provide their legal identity documents to an UNREGULATED 3rd party company that already has a long track record of multiple data breaches. Not to mention, parliament have voted AGAINST this ban, twice, and Starmer is going ahead anyway. So, where's the democracy here, because that looks like dictatorship to me. The solution here is parental responsibility, not government control. Run some public service announcements on TV and UK social media teaching parents how to setup parental controls. That's already been proven to actually work. But the, this is not and has NEVER been about keeping kids safe. It's about control and monitoring. Watching what you're doing online and controlling what you can see and what you can say.
    • Interesting read. I knew the adware was quite controversial at the time, however never realised to the point The Guardian wrote an article about Patchou. I just said no and enjoyed his creation, I’d probably be a lot more wary of something like that today though.
