I have had that drive for several years, took it out of a WD My book external enclosure when that was still possible. I only use it now because it still works but I probably shouldn't due to it's age.

Exactly - a thread for battle stations, and someone posts their imac.

Like starting a "Post your guns" and supposed posts a picture of a rubberband gun.... painted nicely.

I game on it and its performance is way higher than my previous 2012 Custom PC Build with a Radeon HD6950 MSI Twin Frozr. Thus, I would still consider it a worthy "Battlestation". I continue to shock people on StarCraft 2 who ask what system I "built" to load the game so fast and I tell them its an iMac. However, unlike the picture, I actually use a Razer Naga Molten Edition when I game.

 

Some game benchmarks averages:

World of Warcraft - High Graphics 95fps

Starcraft 2 - Ultra 87fps

Diablo 3 - High 88fps

Star Wars The Old Republic - High 121fps

Battlefield 1 - High 49fps

Battlefield 4 - High 62fps

 

For these games, I have to lower the resolution to about 3K, 5K take the FPS and half it, except for Starcraft 2. It somehow manages to still run smoothly at full 5K.

I stand corrected.
What video card does your imac have ?  Honestly - as little as I game anymore, I wouldnt mind getting a mac.  One of my favorite all time computers was the previous gen Mac Pro

But, if I were to get a mac, it would be a mbp - I am covered on the stupidly overkilled, never uses more than 50% resources, PSU fan never spins, desktop - dont need another.

Please ignore the mess!

Tower is behind my monitors - rocking the i7 6700k with a SLi 1080 and Dominator Platinum setup inside an NZXT S340 Black case - no RGB for me - not really into flashy setups 

 

Being my monitors support freesync, I'm waiting for those darn Vegas to come out so I could replace my SLi with some decent crossfire cards

I don't do PC games too much any more so my 'Battlestation' is an Alienware 15 R3. Main machine is a 2014 MBP 15"...

That looks like the newest one at $300-400, depends on which one. You need RAM, HDD, and OS separate, tho.

The director behind the original, Kenji Kanno, is helming this new entry as well, which will come with access to five new cities to drive in, competitive multiplayer modes, a vehicle customization system, and more.       This new cabinet design lets you run AMD, Intel, and Nvidia PCs inside one case by Sayan Sen At Computex 2026 earlier this month, AMD announced a couple of new X3D processors for both sockets AM4 and AM5 as it confirmed the support extension of the latter till 2029. And although Intel didn't unveil any new desktop chips, the company's Core Ultra 200S Plus series is relatively new too. Let's say though that you want the best of both worlds simultaneously, and instead of running two different systems, you can have both running together side-by-side, or rather on top of one another. That's exactly what Thermaltake's CAPO X dual system is made for doing. While it's not exactly mandatory to run AMD with Intel, or vice versa, you get the idea. As you can see in the render above, it is essentially like a double-decker PC case that is capable of holding two microATX (mATX) motherboards. Even running just one discrete graphics card in a PC can get toasty, so you may be wondering how well the cooling is designed on the CAPO X, Thermaltake has confirmed, as is evident from the marketing promo image above, that the case supports up to two 360 mm AIO liquid coolers. 420mm is not supported. In total there is room for 13 120mm case fans. In terms of I/O (input/output) options for the two systems, there are naturally two places for those ports, one at the top and one at the very bottom of the chassis in the front panel. In terms of use cases, there are many possibilities. Thermaltake itself, for example, highlights how one system can be your main PC while the other could be the AI agent PC.
