Monitors still don't come in 4K @ 120Hz?

Recommended Posts

I thought it was time to upgrade, but it seems only 60Hz versions are sold. I thought Display Port in the new NV GPUs could output that fast?

tbh even a pair of 1080GTXs would struggle to push 4k gaming at 100hz+

give it 12 months to 18 and there would be a market id imagine.

I think you a confusing refresh rate and frame per second. CS:GO for example runs somewhere between 150-250 FPS at 4K and would benefit from a high refresh rate monitor.

I think I am going to agree with the second point.

@Gary7 looking at the specs, the 4K/UHD is 60Hz plus the response time is slower than my current 4k monitor.

Then why does it say 100Hz? You have to look at the curved specs. Not the UHD

He wants 120.. not 100.

That's not the problem, 4K resolutions start at 3840 × 2160.

The 4K/UHD IPS version of said monitor is 60Hz.

I know, someone posted they did not come above 60Hz. The one I posted cost 2000 USD, what do you think a 120Hz would cost plus the array of GPU's to run it??

and what was the hz on my tv when I played nintendo/atara

Look at your model number on the back of your TV and use it to look up via Google and it iwll tell you how much Hz it uses.

A whole bunch of over priced monitors 166Hz even..

It looks like the only upgrade I can make right now is 2ms to 1ms response time and add G-Sync. Which is not worth it.

Thread over. Go home people.

50 Hz.  Worse, NTSC was even below VGA and barely above EGA (full NTSC used all of 525 lines of resolution - and you could err as much as ten percent in either direction and be *at spec*).

CS:Go isnt exactly taxing on a GPU at any resolution mate. And no buddy, I know the difference between refresh rates and FPS :)

Go try playing a 2017 title maxed out at 4K you wont see 250FPS
