Earlier this month the Minnesota Twins unveiled a proposal for a new retractable roof ballpark. looks nice, also looks like lots of other new stadiums. The upper deck would be the smallest in the league though, bringing more fans closer to the action

ST. PAUL -- Calling it a "ballpark of the imagination," the Twins unveiled plans Tuesday for the construction of a new 42,000-seat, baseball-only, natural grass stadium with a retractable roof.

Backed by video animation, artist's renderings and a working model featuring a moving roof, team representatives made their pitch at the state capitol to Gov. Tim Pawlenty's Stadium Screening Committee -- a 19-member panel comprised of state legislators, community leaders and private citizens.

yes, roofs are (N), but a retractable roof is a whole lot better than that metrodome they play in now. at least it would have real grass

Here's another thought. Let's sign some key free agents so that once the stigma of a new ballpark wears off, people will have a reason to come back and re-occupy those seats.
