Have you played Quake? I used to play quake with my friends about 20 years ago.  We used to play on LAN network.  It was fun.

 

I have Quake on CD in my storage. I am considering to pull it out and try it out.

 

I heard that they are working on new Quake.. It's in beta right now.

Oh yeah, I played the old quake and the old doom! Commander Keen, police quests, etc!

i thought the new wolfensteins sucked, lots of cutscenes and sneaking around gameplay....nothing like classic wolf3d or rtcw. wish games would stop trying to be movies.

I played the beta, it's not great, almost exactly the same as the Doom multiplayer.

The new Quake that's in beta is really nice and fun. I still prefer single player experiences like the original and Quake 2. Mostly because I'm pushing 50 and am not good at competitive multiplayer anymore.
