+rdlenk Subscriber² Posted April 7, 2017 Subscriber² Share Posted April 7, 2017 I was hoping this was going to stay closer to the original launch window at the end of this month since I was going to be down there around then. Too bad.
Unobscured Vision
Wow. Pretty heavy bird, and capable too. Should have a good, long service life if nothing goes wrong with any of the systems. DocM 1 Share
SALSN
If spacexstats.xyz can be trusted (which I think they can) then this will be their heaviest satellite yet, with the current one being Echostar 23 coming in at 5,500 kg.
DocM
GEO bird yeah, and an expendable F9 could do 8+ tonnes to GEO. A fully loaded Dragon pushes almost 10 tonnes, and Dragon 2 even more. The heaviest payload Atlas V has ever pushed uphill was Enhanced Cygnus OA-4 at 7.492 tonnes.
