Theresa May announces plan to call general election on 8 June

What you THINK labour did is irrelevant. No other government, EVER, has left the incoming party a note saying "Sorry, there's no money left", like labours outgoing chancellor did...

Every single time Labour get in, they screw up the economy, they increase debt, and they massively increase red tape. The Tories then spend the next two terms fixing the mess Labour caused.

As for being self serving, elitist and vile. They're no more so than Labour or Lib Dems are.  NONE of these people are in it for the good of the common man. Your alternatives are: vote for the one least likely to screw your personal life over, vote for the one least like to screw your region over, or blank vote.

Besides, the economy isn't the only issue here.  Corbin, if he got in, would leave the UK utterly defenceless against aggressors. He wants to dump our nuclear deterrant and downsize the army. He's also, despite what he might say today, massively anti-europe and always was. He would not get us a good deal on exiting the union, he would just leave.

Bit rich saying that when George Osborne in just three years increased the national debt more than Labour ever did in their last 13 years in charge, and eventually more than every Labour government in history combined. Overall, the Tories have been the biggest borrowers over the past 70 years in the UK. They're the real "tax and spend" party that they painted Labour as, only they tax the poor and spend it on tax breaks, subsidies and government contracts for their rich donors. Also, they don't do anything about cutting red tape, either. What Labour are guilty of is not undoing Margaret Thatcher's deregulation of the financial sector when they had the chance, which is what caused the last financial crisis (they were Thatcherites under Tony Blair and Gordon Brown, so it's not a big surprise they did nothing there).
