Student Mob Shrieks at Professor Who Objected to Event That Kicks White People Off Campus for a Day
By Lukas Mikelionis | 12:24 pm, May 25, 2017

Evergreen State College students have berated a professor and called for his resignation after he objected to an event where white students were asked to leave the campus for a day.
Bret Weinstein, a biology professor at the university, sent out an email criticizing the purpose of this year’s “Day Of Absence” event where, unlike in the past, white students and faculty members were asked to leave campus to give space to people of color.
Traditionally, the annual event is characterized by people of color leaving the campus to show their contribution to the campus, while white students and faculty members are attending anti-racism workshops.
“There is a huge difference between a group or coalition deciding to voluntarily absent themselves from a shared space in order to highlight their vital and under appreciated roles … and a group or coalition encouraging another group to go away,” Weinstein wrote in the email.
“I would encourage others to put phenotype aside and reject this new formulation … On a college campus, one’s right to speak—or to be—must never be based on skin color.”
[...]
A student shouted at Weinstein: “We don’t care what terms you want to speak on. This is not about you. We are not speaking on terms—on terms of white privilege. This is not a discussion. You have lost that one.”

When walking past a doomsday preacher on the street, it's best to just ignore and keep walking. These types of people (typically Sjw's/Antifa/anti-trump types) generally don't communicate very well and only interested in preaching from a position of ignorance.

Yea, complete and utter ###### and racist.   Hope all those college students supporting/asking for this get expelled or punished.

Why the hell would white people need to attend anti racism workshops?  Seriously, this is ######ed up.  Not all people are racist and this clumps them into the same bunch who are.  This event should not be allowed.

I dont even know what to say or think about this.  This is the most ridiculous thing I have heard - at every level.

Blacks complain about equality, now - they want separation ?  So which is it ?

When someone speaks about free speech and personal rights, they are told to "shut up" ?  Sounds about par for the SJW - because, after all, its all about their views are the only ones which need to be heard.

Im sure the MTV, and Yahoo, and sorts will be  applauding this "school" -

I was about to start a thread about the WOMEN ONLY viewing of Wonder Woman in Austin - but this is so much worse.

I got to :45  - couldnt take it anymore.  Some below-avg achieving white kid said, "you said some racist sh*t, can you apologize?" -

Think about that - they are saying the teacher is the one who is being racist, by asking the group to reconsider their event of segregation.... let that sink in.

And this folks, is where and how these SJW are born.   Avg to Below average intellect, average to below average achievement (but rec'd tons of participation trophies Im sure) - they choose a bunch of Humanities, and poly Sci 101 classes - and voila!   They got it all figured out

If these kids were @ real schools, they wouldnt have the time or energy to mess with this crap.

Dont see the chinese kids who study 18 hours a day @ CalTech pulling this crap, do you ?  Too busy with Applied Mathematics, QED, & power towers to mess with this crap.

Any readers who don't already appreciate these students’ complete lack of self-awareness, a quick reddit search uncovered this little gem:

A promotional video for a “weekly community gathering” at Evergreen called Common Bread.

This is not a Portlandia Sketch. This is real life.

Good news, the racist was forced off campus,

“I have been told by the Chief of Police it’s not safe for me to be on campus,” said Weinstein, who held his Thursday class in a downtown Olympia park, King 5 reports, adding an “administrator confirmed the police department advised Weinstein it ‘might be best to stay off campus for a day or so.'”

Making matters worse, social justice warriors are targeting students who support Weinstein, threatening to dox those who helped him film the raucous protesters as they cornered him in the campus hallway and yelled at him and called him names.

You shouldn't lump those groups together. Many completely rational people don't support this kind of behaviour but see the obvious issues present in the current administration. You'd have to be incredibly ignorant to miss them.

I agree, was only speaking generalness.

I'd suggest stupidity knows no specific group or ideology, and that we should be all advocating for complexity. The solutions to our problems lies in understanding that they're incredibly complicated, and we must come together in trying to understand them at all. The Dunning Kruger effect is powerful and dangerous. We all benefit when we stop pretending we know what we're talking about.

Protesters at Evergreen State College are reportedly roaming campus with baseball bats, according to photos and videos circulating on social media.

I can't really argue with their request. It sounds stupid and completely racist until you read about what the event is normally like:

The whole idea should be scrapped instead. I'd be quite angry if someone forced me to attend an anti-racism workshop when I have done nothing to merit such a decision.

The phrase 'fighting fire with fire' comes to my mind...it doesn't work!

The very concept itself is completely racist

Holy crap, I don't even know where to begin... there are so many idiots in that room who spew absolute ###### and don't seem to see their own hypocrisy, acting as if the world owes them anything they ask for, self-righteous "justice" seeking morons, to say the least.

Noting down union members who refuse and acting upon their refusal, would that not be against employment laws in the US?

And acting as if being emotional and getting up in someone else's face is going to help your cause, because that doesn't seem threatening and coercive at all, does it? :p

There's way too much to comment on in that video, would have to watch it a few times as I just can't believe what I'm hearing every time I watch it over.

This is the supported future of the Western world? We're all doomed!

Can't stand such takes as Spotify's: "Spotify's CEO recently pushed back against listeners who call AI music "slop," urging people to stop using the term and instead embrace the creative potential of AI music."

    • Microsoft Teams gets smarter at spotting sneaky meeting bots by Usama Jawad Microsoft Teams is set to receive a couple of new features soon, including a dedicated Recap app and a rather controversial location tracking functionality. The Redmond tech giant has also explained how it has made online communication and collaboration a lot more performant this year. Now, the company has detailed more secure bot admission mechanisms, as first reported by us in March 2026, and now available in Teams. As the use of AI has expanded across enterprise environments, Microsoft has begun allowing users to integrate bots into their meetings for various tasks, such as note-taking. While this has a tangible productivity benefit for users, Microsoft has highlighted how misconfiguration has allowed bots to join meetings that they shouldn't. This has created security and privacy risks, which Microsoft is now combating using a new Teams admin policy that allows organizers to control how external bots access meetings. Admins can leverage a policy called Manage external bots and their access to meetings. The default configuration is "When detected, require approval before joining", which places detected bots in a lobby before they are explicitly admitted into the meeting. The other option disables the experience. Microsoft has also requested admins to only allow organizers and co-organizers to manage access to a meeting, so that other people don't randomly allow bots into meetings. Teams will now be able to leverage infrastructure signals to intelligently detect and distinguish between bots and humans. Microsoft will soon also trial a registration experience for independent software vendors (ISVs) to build a system that registers a bot with Microsoft, so it is marked as a "known" bot. Teams will also categorize bots as trusted and suspected threats so that organizers can quickly identify which bots they want to allow into a meeting. Additional safeguards to block accidental admission of a bot into a meeting include: No one-click Admit option for identified bots Confirmation prompts when admitting participants that include bots Warnings when organizers choose Admit all, and bots are included Microsoft has begun rolling out this experience, and it will be retiring the current CAPTCHA verification implementation. In the future, the company plans to roll out new capabilities like allow-lists, organization-wide policies, admin reports, audit logs, and more granular controls.
    • With the current hardware prices Microsoft should lift the restriction. Then if you have the correct TPM then allow you to use X feature, if you don't have the correct TPM then don't but still actually let you run windows. 11. With a disclaimer during install that X features would be unavailable.
    • It's good for recycling of course. But commence inflation of a second hand RAM bubble and price gouging on DDR 4 inventory in 3... 2... 1...
