Need some urgent help

Is anyone who knows their stuff about mysql/invision board willing to give my a hand importing an old backup? I dont have a clue wat i'm doing and the errors im getting are going over my head.

1. what format is it in?

2. a .tar.gz or a .sql?

3. do you have access to phpmyadmin?

4. ftp access if its a large file?

Well, it's a 20MB tar file with loads of files inside, I've got acess to myphpadmin and ftp acess. I'm just totaly lost trying to follow this guide.

I used the invision board backup tool if thats any use?

are the files inside the tar *.sql?

if they are you can use phpmyadmin and upload each file to restore it to the database...
