Any smaller/better HTPC cases?

Recommended Posts

I am looking for the smallest case I can find for my HTPC. I have an ASRock H97M-ITX/AC mini-ITX Board and an i3-4160 and only a single SSD for storage to go in it.

So far, the smallest case I can find is the Realan T3 case

. If there is nothing smaller or better I will end up going with that.

Nice to Have: - Slim or full 5.25" bay. Slot load drives are pricey, even a slim optical bay would save some money. - Dust filters (I know I can add them after the fact) - Room for a future low profile graphics card. The ML06/ML06-E has this already so I know it is possible in this size.

Budget: $200 for case, PSU.

The thing with HTPC cases, they are generally the same size as a Receiver (Length/Width/Height) wise. Also cases are much like picking someones paint color, what you like may not be what I like and visa-versa. Take a look here and see if you see anything that works for ya.

EDIT: Swapped it out for a Pi3, so easy for a streaming media/retro gaming little box. Not much more than a good quality PSU

EDIT2: Welcome to Neowin, Hope you're not gonna be a One Post Wonder for long. :p

    • If Exexutives are far from reallity, something that is said about many companies and their leadershiñ Then how are these companies still standing?? I wonder if you are out of reallity. Those companies are in a general sense still growing.
    • These days we don't need adware. They call it Telemetry and steal everything that they want to sell anyway 🤷‍♂️   Oh, I also have a (fully paid for) version of Adobe CS4 running in a VM that I still use a lot still. I managed to get it installed into a VM before they disabled the activation servers. I cannot legally install something that I paid for now... and I'll never give another penny to Adobe because of it. Screw your subscriptions Adobe!

    • So, this is a deal on a bundle of applications for macOS... but the graphic shows an iPhone and an iPad. I know Neowin has graphics for Macs, especially Macbooks, since they get inserted into random articles to represent PCs even when it's a Windows product - so how is it possible to screw up an actual Apple-specific Mac-specific article? Worse, there's an Apple Pencil with the iPad, something no Mac has or can do.
    • Good news! Sure you can't actually afford to buy one of their GPUs anymore, but now you can get free trading cards to *remind* you of the GPUs you can no longer buy or afford. Hey Nvidia, can a company BE more tone deaf?
