There is this;

MySIMBL https://github.com/w0lfschild/mySIMBL and https://github.com/w0lfschild/darkNC

Look at the screenshots and read the description for both and decide.

MySIMBL is a program that injects itself into macOS and could require to disable SIP - mySIMBL will tell you as mentioned on the description on the Github page linked to.

The problem with a system injector like SIMBL is that it injects itself into all of your programs despite not doing anything with those programs. Some program with macOS Sierra could announce that it does not like SIMBL and thus not function. It's rare these days - it's just a heads up.

I've personally been using mySIMBL on and off when using cDock themes and some of the great plugins that SIMBL allows. I'm not against SIMBL and I'll probably install it on the fresh installation of macOS High Sierra. It allows for much customization that Apple turned away from.

It's not a Sierra bug - Although I would like it to follow the system color too. It being always white is not great. It's not fixed in High Sierra either.

You will probably notice a few differences with the plugin and the real deal from El Capitan. The screenshot on the plugin website shows a little of the look of the Notification Center.
