How does this interactive page gotten made?

Came across this page and I am impressive how the page is made. Very interactive and nice design. But I feel like it is very script heavy page and require good compute power.

 

Anyway, anyone knows this page is made? Besides HTML/CSS/JS, is SVG involved? or something else.
