I don't know much about monitors but I keep seeing people saying, once you go 144Hz you don't wanna go back to 60Hz. Anyway I'd like some advice from you guys. What do you think is good to buy? My budget is ~300 €. I play a lot of videogames in my spare time. This one caught my eye, but I'm not sure about it. It looks as though that monitor has neither, so it would work at 144hz with both AMD & NVidia, a good compromise and a good price. Im hoping to move up to 2k or 4k ideally in the process, but thats going to start costing serious wedge if i want to go larger than 27" also. Ive got the capability for HDR, hence waiting for it more than the Gysnc tbh. Its a dammed shame Nvidias dont also support Freesync, the monitors are a lot cheaper due to no extra hardware inside. Regardless, they will be outside of his stated budget. The one he is looking at is an amazing monitor which I can personally verify because I've been using them for the last two years. But I'm not sure which version of HDMI it's using so you will either need to use DVI-D or DP as your cable choice to get 144hz. Newer versions of HMDI can apparently do 144hz but really the only difference between HDMI and DVI is that HDMI carries a sound signal.
