busdude Posted January 26, 2004 Share Posted January 26, 2004 I have a Windows XP Pro box on a Windows 2000 domain. At logon i i have scripts setup to map four drives, and redirect my favorites to the Z: Drive. Whenever i bring up My Computer, it hangs for a second before showing the contents, this also happens when clicking on the Links drop down in IE. Anyone know why this happens what and i can do to fix it? Edit: I should also say, its XP Pro with SP1 and the latest hotfixes, running on an AMD Tbird 1.2 with 768 MB ram on a 100mb lan segment. The NIC is a 3c905 and has worked flawlessly in the past. QoS is enabled, and Firewall disabled. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
