My sister in law lives in a trailer park that get's fed Direct tv through some other place. Her connection is just a straight cable coax connection to back of tv. No stb involved. Picture in higher channels are snowy as heck. I'm not sure if the feed coming in is, or has, high definition capability or not. What I'd like to know if there's such a thing as a converter/filter or something that will help clear up the picture? She had a mammoth sized older tv that wasn't HD capable at all, but bought a 55" HD tv a couple days ago and it looks as crappy as the old tv.
