If she was as angry as you say I would have gotten some photos of the cars to prove there was no damage in case she did try anything. But you probably don't have anything to worry about.

In the moment i was abit shook so i wasnt thinking straight its my brand new car and im a new driver, didnt really know what to do. Im quite lucky i breaked in time! However i did think i should have took pictures an also took her number but i didnt at the time, not much i can do about that now. She was a grown woman and im only 21. Hopefully she wont take the matter further, as i doubt she would damage her own car to get anything out of it but then again im not sure what she can do.

If she snapped your pic of a plate she probably intends to get an inspection and if shop recommends repairs, she will probably contact bmv for your contact information to obtain your insurance.

If you say there wasn’t any damage though, I doubt she’ll take the matter any further, it’s a hassle to obtain info via plate through official channels, so unless there is actually any damage. Just put it behind you.

As to any injuries, that too costs money on her dime until she can be reimbursed. Time off, insurance:legal fees, etc.

You lucked out, if that was me I’d have called the police for an official report be taken. And contact numbers/ insurance info would certainly of been exchanged. Visible damage or no visible damage.

I’ve also been bumped at only 5 mph from the rear, it’s not a pleasant experience and actually is a decent jolt and bang when you have your foot on the brake. Their front license plate bolt left it’s shape in my bumper. There’s usually always damage. Her insurance paid out 600 to fix it. I also considered suing for lost value on trade in, however I decided to just turn my lease in and wash my hands of it. Any one who carfaxes that vin now will be alerted it was in an accident, and I don’t know about you, but would never buy a car with a bad car fax. Most dealers low ball you on trade ins when ###### like that happens.

Regardless, if she does press the matter, that’s what car insurance is for.

She will 100% for sure try to claim damage and/or injury. Otherwise, she wouldn't have taken that picture. Your insurance company is there to fight for you, so I'd call and report it it to them just in case.

In the future be sure to not take your eyes off the wheel and do not follow so close.  If the car is in drive your eyes should be on the road.  Only play with items in the car when it is in park if you have to take your eyes off the road to do so.  She will probably take the car into a mechanic to check it out.  Just because there is no visual damage there could be damage internally.  Normally a full scan will show if there is any damage.  If there is she can submit a claim to her insurance company for repairs in which your insurance or you will cover.

When you get in an accident you want to collect the following information:

Time of day

Weather at the time

Temperature at the time

Road conditions

Your speed, colors of the vehicle

Mile marker

Street and/or intersection

Drivers license (front and back), insurance (front and back), registration and license plate of other drivers involved

Pictures of damage area and angles of the other vehicle front and back

Picture of who is driving and passengers

Picture of the accident area

Time you called it in to how long it took for the police to arrive

GPS coordinates at the time of the accident if possible

Tbh i was quite close to her car in the first place i would have done around 2mph at most if even that, i thought i had breaked in time but she told me i bumped the back of her. For sure there was no damage ive bumped my sisters car at a similar speed an no damage was caused, also considering the womans car was suv and i have the mercedes a class.

Not true. It is sensible to take a picture of the licence plate should there be any complications but it does NOT mean they'll definitely try to pull an insurance scam. It would be strange if they didn't take a picture of the licence plate.

Also, if she was to take the matter further an try make a claim. How long will it take till i find out? As im just stressing out everyday thinking whether anything will come through or not. So how long will it take till im contacted and would this be through the post or a phone call?

Time frame would be determined on state laws and insurance companies.  Normally personal injury is two years and property damage is three years.

    • But the reality is it will work for people's needs, and they don't care about the technology that makes it. Clearly not everyone's needs, but that low end space where personal laptops were only used to type emails, watch content and browse websites, but they didn't want to do that on a small screen device. Heck, writing that out I can now see the connection and reason it'll do so well. Apple is about experience. If the experience is bad, they don't release it. Low end Windows laptop manufacturers up until this point have not taken that into consideration ever before, so slow laggy usage with brittle slimey plastic shells were common. I hope that the low end space at least creates better physical products that last a bit longer, and if Microsoft get their act together, they could also have a solid OS on such low end hardware that would actually make the experience work for what the hardware was intended for. The fact that the CPU is a "cellphone", sorry mobile phone processor is irrelevant. It's about the experience, and so far, that sounds quite solid.
    • Hello, Bonjour is Apple's implementation of a multicast-DNS service, which allows devices running Apple's software and/or hardware to find each other on your local network.  I believe the Windows version was last updated around 2010. If you do not need it, you can stop and disable the Bonjour service in the Services Control Manager (filename: SERVICES.MSC).  Once you have done that, the operating system will no longer attempt to load the service. • This AMD RX 9070 16GB GPU that performs close to Nvidia 5070 is under $600 by Sayan Sen With the memory shortage that's prevalent nowadays, discounts are super-hard to get. As such we post good deals whenever they pop up. Recently, we covered a few great discounts on SSDs wherein you can get a 4TB TeamGroup NVMe PCIe Gen4 drive for just $400 thanks to a special coupon. If you want a faster product but don't need all that capacity, you can also opt for Samsung's 990 PRO 2TB that is on sale for its lowest price in over three months. Let's say though that you are on the hunt for a 1440p gaming card. In that case AMD's RX 9070 non-XT can help, and with its 16GB VRAM, you can also run AI models locally without worrying about bottlenecking (check out our recent 9070 GRE reviews for gaming and productivity to get an idea). The PowerColor Reaper variant of the RX 9070 is currently on sale for just $580 which is a very good price in the current state of affairs (purchase link under the specs table down below). The Reaper cooler on this 9070 uses a triple‑fan design with ring‑blade fans, paired with premium dual ball bearings to extend lifespan and reduce friction. "Intelligent" fan control allows the fans to remain idle at lower temperatures, only spinning up when the GPU is under load. A nickel‑plated copper base makes direct contact with both the GPU and memory modules, helping to spread heat evenly. PowerColor also applies Honeywell PTM7950 phase‑change thermal interface material (TIM), which fills microscopic gaps between the die and heatsink for more efficient thermal transfer. The fan shroud is shorter in height as the firm has made it such that it can be used in certain SFF (small form factor) cases. The technical specifications of the Reaper RX 9070 are given in the table below: Specification Value Stream Processors 3584 Units Video Memory 16GB GDDR6 Memory Speed 20.0 Gbps Memory Interface 256-bit Engine Clock Game Clock: up to 2070 MHz Boost Clock: up to 2520 MHz Bus Standard PCI Express 5.0 x16 Display Connectors 1 x HDMI 2.1b, 3 x DisplayPort 2.1a Maximum Resolution DisplayPort: 7680 × 4320 HDMI: 7680 × 4320 Board Dimensions 289mm × 111mm × 41mm 304mm × 127mm × 42mm (with bracket) Slot 2 Minimum System Power Requirement 600W Power Connectors Two 8-pin PCI Express Get the PowerColor Reaper RX 9070 at the links below (you get only a 90-day warranty on Woot): PowerColor Reaper Radeon RX 9070 16GB Graphics Card (RX9070 16G-A): $579.99 (Sold and Shipped by Amazon US) (Was: $700) PowerColor Reaper Radeon RX 9070 16GB Graphics Card (RX9070 16G-A): $559.99 (Sold and Shipped by Woot US) Good to know This Amazon deal is U.S. specific, and not available in other regions unless specified. • Are they marketed as an entry into astronomy or astrophotography? I do astrophotography. With big rigs, lots of computers, cables and headaches. I love it. And by learning this ridiculously complex hobby, I’ve learned about the objects I’m shooting. Astronomy followed from photography.
