MtnDewCodeRedFreak
As many of you guys know, the iPhone 8, 8 Plus and the original X (not the Xs/Xs Max/Xr, I think) supports wireless charging, right? Well I got a wireless charging pad last year to use on my iPhone 8 Plus which I also got last year and I’ve been using it. Now I’m curious ... what if you plug in the WIRED Lightning charger to the iPhone, then plug the opposite end to the wall plug outlet and then put that phone on the wireless charger (hence “double charging”)? Would that make the battery charge faster or is that NOT recommended?
goretsky Supervisor Posted November 3, 2018 Supervisor Share Posted November 3, 2018 Hello, I would suggest plugging the device into its USB charger and putting it on the wireless charging pad for a moment just to see what happens. I would imagine that wireless charging simply won't engage since wired charging provides more amperage. It's possible a message may be displayed with words to that effect as well.
