Asus RT-AC5300 and Hulu log-in issues.

Recommended Posts

Hey boys and girls, I have an Asus RT-AC5300 and for the life of me I can’t get it to log into Hulu... I can log-in just fine with a PC directly connected to the modem. I’ve updated the firmware and even did a factory reset on it to no luck. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Can you login to Hulu from you Roku and/or smart TV?

Might be something about your ASUS Firewall.

Nope. Not my phone, Roku, or web browser. If it’s on WiFi I can’t log in.

You arent the only person with said issue and that router, seems like a firmware release a year ago started causing it. Try using this, ddwrt, instead

First you need to flash using this file https://download1.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/betas/2018/10-19-2018-r37442/asus-rt-ac5300/asus_rt-ac5300-firmware.trx

Future updates you would download the bin file instead of the trx

Should solve all of your issues and rid you of that crap Asus has on there ;)

So I tried it out and I think I bricked the router...

[Edit] Alright I don't think I did. it was acting mighty funny but I think I got it working. [Edit]
