Brandon H 2,280 Posted January 18 you mean Windows Subsystem for Linux correct? https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wsl/install-win10 the answer is yes and no to install the initial back end service you need admin yes; to install the distribution from the Microsoft Store you don't once the distribution is installed it works just like command prompt / powershell; it will run in normal user mode by default, if you need sudo/root then it will ask for admin permissions. or you can right click and just run as admin as well just as normal. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
