JohnG86
What do both ends of the audio cable you are using look like? Left speaker only could be a bad cable, have you tried it with another device? caprireds 1 Share
caprireds
I tried connecting, another way, through the line in (in front of the audio system (... and had the same result !!
caprireds
isn't each end of the cable dedicated to one speaker? so one goes to the right and another to the left? or both of them just MONO? and MONO goes to one speaker whatever... how about the subwoofer?! I use windows 8.1 and navigated to sound options...and tried the setups of 1- stereo 2- 5.1 and more... but no way !! I'm sure there is no problem with the audio system...because I listen to music through usb flash key ... and the sound is full (the best bass and sound I ever listened to, actually..) Which Audigy do you have? 2. The Audigy (and pretty much any 5.1) will have: - Front - left/right - Rear - left/right - sub & center - digital out - input - mic/aux etc 3. for 2.1, you connect the front, and the sub (use another red/white pair but just one gets connected) 4. tell the driver you are using 2.
DentedAphid7
Ha I got exactly the same speaker lol I'm at work now so I don't have pics, but you can try the following: I modded mine to have longer wires. But yeah, could be the contact of those wires? If I wiggle mine a bit to certain angle it will have sound out from one speaker. And the red/black tabs are both connected correctly in the right spot? (Try if AUX plays fine through your phone) Are the aux cable at it's fault? If you are using Audigy, make sure the drivers are updated. caprireds 1 Share

If that is a picture of your real cable, it is NOT a stereo cable. It has an extra wire for microphone, typical of cell phones...

So you were incorrect, you do NOT have a real 2.1 system. You only need stereo from the Audigy GREEN to your miniature stereo system. Try another cable. Make sure the Audigy driver is set to Stereo (2.0) Then make sure the player on the PC is set to the Audigy speaker output and not the digital output. caprireds 1 Share

And what type of file are you playing? You might just need a CODEC update. http://codecguide.com/download_k-lite_codec_pack_full.htm
