notta
I am testing out some software and in each step of the process I have created a checkpoint so if I have any problems I can revert back to the previous step to try again. Well the disk is running low on space so I want to expand the drive. Well Hyper-v is telling me that I can't edit the disk because there are snapshots. I would rather not lose all my snapshots, but I need to expand the disk. How do you merge all the snapshots into a single checkpoint at where am I currently? I only ask because I have been burned in the past and I want to make sure I don't lose all my work and get reverted to an older point. New to Hyper-v so I apologize. Thanks. notta
OK, so I was impatient. I went in and one by one deleted all the checkpoints previous to Now. I can now edit the disk and I'm right where I left off. As I said I was burned hard on this the other day so I wanted to make sure I didn't wipe out a full days work. I'm good now.
