Aftermarket stereo problems

so i have an aftermarket stereo that was in my last truck and ive already been having problems with getting it to power up. Once i got that fixed i ran into another. After driving for 20-30 mins my stereo will faintly make a cracking sound and the the music ripples ( how i would describe it) it goes away after i turn it down for a bit. Ive messed with the stereo settings but nothing is working. anyone heard of this before?

Check your wiring, a grounding issue could be occurring.  make sure you are taping/heat shrinking the connectors properly.  Even if you use wire nuts, it is a good idea to tape it.
