anthdci
I am looking at buying a new MiFi. My trusty Huawei E5776 is very scratched and the battery is on its last legs. I use it mostly when I am out in the countryside in my caravan (RV for American), so the signal is sometimes an issue. I have found a lot of good reviews for the Netgear m1 https://www.netgear.com/business/products/mobile-broadband/mobilerouters/M1.aspx I will be using it with a Three (UK) data sim. They use 800mhz and 1800mhz bands for their LTE network. My understanding is that is 2x2 mimo. 2 antenna for 2100mhz and below (1&2) and 2 antenna for 2200mhz and about (3&4). Therefore if I used it with three it would only use 2 of the antenna anyway. It has 2 external antenna ports linked to 1&2, so I could plug antennas into there, doing so disables 3&4 which shouldn't matter anyway. Is that thinking all correct and if so does the M1 give any speed or coverage advantages over another cheaper model that also has dual antenna ports? maybe the Huawei E5785 like this Edited April 8, 2019 by anthdci
