0 sc302 Veteran Posted July 21, 2019 Veteran Share Posted July 21, 2019 What kind of cleaner? Ccleaner is safe you probably don’t want to dump a gallon of bleach on the mother board. LaP, 300z, Mindovermaster and 1 other 3 1 Share

0 Mesud
I was wondering if CCleaner would be a good safe program to help me remove a bunch of junk files from my computer that Disk Cleanup will not do. I looked online and found that a lot of people seem to like it, but then I saw on a wiki page that back in 2017 or 2016 it was infected with a virus. Is this program safe to use? I need a program that can cleanup my computer and give me some control over what does and does not get removed not just remove whatever it feels like removing. 0 +virtorio MVC Posted July 24, 2019 MVC Share Posted July 24, 2019 CCleaner had an "incident" a few years ago, but those issues are resolved. You can download a the slim installer, or a version that doesn't need to be installed at all, from here: https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/builds
0 DentedAphid7
I used it couple years ago where that "incident" happened. Didn't Avast brought them?
