Yeah what "cleaner"  doing a "reg" clean could for sure cause you grief..   etc. etc.

 

Your going to have to give us some more details.. Did you read some article that said xyz was bad?  Did one of your buddies tell you they read something somewhere that said bla blah?

I was wondering if CCleaner would be a good safe program to help me remove a bunch of junk files from my computer that Disk Cleanup will not do. I looked online and found that a lot of people seem to like it, but then I saw on a wiki page that back in 2017 or 2016 it was infected with a virus. Is this program safe to use? I need a program that can cleanup my computer and give me some control over what does and does not get removed not just remove whatever it feels like removing.

Yes. But understand I use then uninstall.  I don’t want garbage taking up resources or pluck out the stuff I don’t want running.

I moved to Wise Disk Cleaner and it seems to get rid of more stuff.

I use revo uninstall is really  good

CCleaner had an "incident" a few years ago, but those issues are resolved.

Someome does recommend that my friend use this. My friend also advises me to use Reg Organizer. Is the advice correct
