What has reduced is the rate of EV market share increase, not their annual sales which are increasing. Kelley Blue Book expects the US EV market share to come close to 10% this year. It's already at 8.9%.

They are?  Last I saw 2/3 quarters this year their sales were down from last year, and Q2 was barely above which didn't make up for it.

Tesla Cybertruck Gets Massive Price Cut For Both AWD And Cyberbeast

Tesla’s futuristic truck got a more down-to-earth price tag after the electric vehicle maker updated its Cybertruck page.

While it was expected that Tesla would lower Cybertruck prices after gratuitously raising them with the “limited” Foundation Series launch edition, the exact timing of the price correction had not been known.

And? 20k more so that they beta test the high performance models that the next group can still buy, but for cheaper?

It must be worn down to a nub at this point.

The extender will add less range than promised for the dual-motor version of the truck. It will also be available later than expected.

How's that Kool-Aid taste, or are you so conditioned to it that you no longer get any sensation when shilling out what your masters serve you?

They should have just named it the Mach-E and left the Mustang name off it. Thankfully they're bringing out the Mustang GTD supercar.

He's ok bending over and taking it and losing 20k for a little "founders series" badge, High performance package = Tri-Motor, which is now 20k cheaper non-foundation series.

About half of all US EV sales are Teslas, and they will be introducing a family of less expensive models in early 2025.

They will also be introducing a refresh of Model Y, which is already the best selling car in the world. It's currently neck and neck with the Toyota RAV4 for the #1 car in the US.

"U.S. EV Sales Hit Another Record In Q3 2024: '10% Share Within Reach'

According to car trading and market insights firm Cox Automotive, automakers sold an estimated 346,309 EVs in the third quarter, a 5% increase from the second quarter. EVs accounted for 8.9% of the total auto sales—the highest ever on record—marking an increase from 7.8% during the same period last year.

"With improving infrastructure, far more choices, and excellent deals to be had, the team expects further growth in the months ahead," Cox Automotive analysts wrote. "A 10% share is well within reach"

"Ford will pause production of its F-150 Lightning electric pickup truck starting in mid-November for almost two months as it struggles with decreased demand, increased competition, and losses in its electric vehicle business.

The decision to halt production comes as the Tesla Cybertruck has pushed past Ford’s popular Mach-E to become the third best-selling EV in America."

Tesla Has the Highest Fatal Accident Rate of All Auto Brands, Study Finds

Tesla's vehicles have the highest fatal accident rate among all car brands in America, according to a recent iSeeCars study that analyzed data from the U.S. Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS).

The study was conducted on model year 2018–2022 vehicles, and focused on crashes between 2017 and 2022 that resulted in occupant fatalities. Tesla vehicles have a fatal crash rate of 5.6 per billion miles driven, according to the study; Kia is second with a rate of 5.5, and Buick rounds out the top three with a 4.8 rate. The average fatal crash rate for all cars in the United States is 2.8 per billion vehicle miles driven.

The study also breaks down some of the data for individual models. The Tesla Model S has a rate more than double than average, at 5.8 per billion vehicle miles driven; meanwhile, the Tesla Model Y — the best-selling vehicle in the world has a fatal crash rate of 10.6, nearly four times the average. It ranked as the sixth worst vehicle overall. (The Hyundai Venue took the top spot overall, with a fatal crash rate of 13.9.)

New Jersey Cybertruck owner flips his at a $207K loss 3 months after buying

With a depreciation rate of over 100% in three months, the Cybertruck's loss in value tops the rate for the Maserati Quattroporte, which had a rate of 64.5% over five years. The first-generation Nissan Leaf's rate was also higher with a 72% loss after five years. That doesn't look too good for Tesla.

Having got back from Florida, I can attest to anyone here in the UK/Europe/wherever - the Cybertruck looks even more ridiculous in person than the photos make out.  Also, they look oddly "cheap" in their production.

I've seen a few in the town where I live and IMHO, they look more ridiculous IRL than in photos/videos.

Visual effects include options for masking, blue-screen, distortions, rotations, colour tools, blurring, obscuring and others. Configurable keyboard shortcuts and interface layouts. Rendering is done using a separate non-blocking process so it can be stopped, paused and restarted. Kdenlive also provides a script called the Kdenlive Builder Wizard (KBW) that compiles the latest developer version of the software and its main dependencies from source, to allow users to try to test new features and report problems on the bug tracker. Project files are stored in XML format. An archiving feature allows exporting a project among all assets into a single folder or compressed archive. • Here's how to watch the Xbox Games Showcase today and what to expect by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe The June games showcase week has been a packed one, with everything from major presentations like Sony and Summer Game Fest to indie-focused reveals coming in almost every day. Now, it's almost time for another big one, with Microsoft bringing its Xbox Games Showcase back later today. This is a double feature too, with a Gears of War E-Day deep dive also being attached to it. For anyone wanting to tune in online, the 2026 Xbox Games Showcase is kicking off at 10 AM PT | 1 PM ET | 6 PM BST | 7 PM CEST later today, June 7. The event will be available to watch on the official Xbox YouTube (4K 60FPS), Twitch, Facebook, Steam, Amazon Live, and other portals. Separate livestreams for American Sign Language and Audio Description will also be available. "This year marks 25 years of XBOX, and this Showcase is poised to be a true celebration, offering world premieres, new gameplay, fresh updates, and more for a swathe of projects we cannot wait to share," said Microsoft about this presentation. With a new CEO behind it that is pulling off some interesting moves, Xbox may have some surprises to reveal today. New looks at first-party games like Halo Campaign Evolved from Halo studios, Fable from Playground Games, InXile Entertainment's Clockwork Revolution, Mojang's Minecraft Dungeons II, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 from Infinity Ward are to be expected here. We may finally get to see the new Blade from Arcane Studios in action and a new Persona game from Atlus at the showcase too. Surprise announcements may also arrive from other Microsoft-owned studios like Bethesda, MachineGames, Ninja Theory, Obsidian, Rare, World's Edge, or Blizzard. Considering how every new release nowadays is staying away from November and December to avoid Grand Theft Auto VI's release, any launch dates Microsoft announces will probably skip those months as well. Once the Xbox Games Showcase ends, Microsoft will immediately kick off the Gears of War: E-Day Direct. This deep dive into the upcoming prequel from The Coalition should attach gameplay footage and perhaps a release window to the highly anticipated project.
    • People in the '50s and '60s had the same attitude, and we're still here over a half century later.
    • So after some fiddling I was able to get it to run at a pretty stable 30FPS. I'm slightly surprised about how much fiddling I had to do to get there though given what I thought was reasonable hardware: Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS w/ Radeon 780M Graphics Memory: 16 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor 1: AMD Radeon 780M Graphics Graphics Processor 2: AMD Radeon RX 7700S I think I could do it better if I use Linux rather than Windows, Windows RAM usage is stupid without stripping the system down. But once I got it working in a reasonable state, it was so awesome! I felt like a new Bond! If anyone has any advice to get things going a bit smoother FPS-wise, I'd appreciate it.
