+Warwagon MVC Posted December 3, 2019 MVC Share Posted December 3, 2019 How many TV's have you purchased in the last 20 years? I got an employee discount at Walmart when I worked there in 1999. I got a 27 or 30 something inch Tubed TV. Used that until around 2006 when I bought $999 42 inch Olevia LCD TV. I thought it was a great deal at the time Then in 2013 I bought I bought an 70 inch Visio LCD TV which is my current TV. So in my case ..

+Zagadka Subscriber² Posted December 3, 2019 Subscriber² Share Posted December 3, 2019 One and a half? One was a communal thing. I use my PC for most things. I rarely use the actual TV.
ZakO
As the 'main' TV, a 32" Sony Trinitron CRT in 2001, 40" Hitachi Plasma in 2006, 46" Samsung LCD in 2010. ...and 4 Samsung 32" LCDs for other rooms in the house in 2009 which are all still there now. So, 3 if you only include 'main' TVs, or 7 if you include all of them. I don't plan on replacing any of them until one breaks, don't really watch TV much these days. Jim K Global Moderator Posted December 3, 2019 Global Moderator Share Posted December 3, 2019 Well ... I bought a 36 inch Sony Trinitron around 20 years ago I guess. That thing was a beast (heavy!). Bought a Samsung 32-inch 720p LCD for the bedroom around '08 which gave me my first "HD" experience ... it still resides in the bedroom. My current TV is a Pioneer Pro-111FD 50-inch plasma which I bought in 2009 when I came back from Kuwait. When the movers showed up to deliver my stuff (which had been in storage) I told them to keep the Sony. A few years back I bought a 32-inch 1080p Sceptre that stays outside. Only the Pioneer gets watched with regularity ... especially in the Alabama "winter" ... doubles as a heater.
