What's New

User Level Monitor: Microsoft Windows Hypervisor Platform Support

With ULM, Workstation can leverage the Hypervisor API's provided by the Windows Hypervisor Platform.

For users, this means you can now run Device Guard, Credential Guard services at the same time as VMware Workstation.

It also enables Windows Subsystem for Linux and other Hyper-V based services to run while Workstation is running.

Awesome news for me. I had to turn off the Credential Guard for users who need to run Workstation, lowering our security on their machines.

Does the 20H1 version indicate it's for a whole new version of Workstation (v16) or is it to test new builds of the current generation (v15)? It would suck to have to buy new licenses of v16 just for the new ULM feature.

Took their sweet time to add it. VirtualBox added it way back after the debut of Windows Hypervisor Platform/API.
