Mantra Locust
Is there any way I can use Unix within Windows? I want to learn how to use unix, but I have problems with Linux and my video card. So I thought there may be an alternative that I could use in Windows. I heard cygwin is the closest thing to unix in a windows environment, so I may go with that if it's recommended. Thanks in advance.
HellBender
You could use VMWare or VirtualPC.

VMWare and VirtualPC have 30 day and 45 day trials, respectively. Perhaps you can find something else here.

Mantra Locust
Really? Even Knoppix fails to work? I was thinking about that last night, but I didn't know if you could set a net connection up with it. If you could, that'd be great :)

If you could, that'd be great :) Yes you can. I have used Knoppix on a PC where I work and was able to go online. I was also able to connect to some Win2k shares. A very capable LiveCD!
