That was adorable! I got a book of Japanese mythology earlier this month, now I want to get one on Chinese mythology!

In my first post to this thread, I mentioned how sometimes Hollywood takes a short film and unnecessarily decides to make it longer. But I would be interested for the following short to be adapted and expanded upon:

Title: The Candidate

Genre: Drama

Runtime: 20:04

Description: David Karlak’s “The Candidate” explores what happens when the dark thoughts in the back of our minds are given a voice and worse — power.

A similar setup to Coherence, one of my favourite sci-fi films, this one looks at relativity rather than multiverses:

Title: Flyby

Genre: Sci-Fi

Runtime: 13:22

Description: When a passing asteroid begins to affect how people perceive time, one man struggles to keep up.

Goodness, it's been over a year since I shared something here!

Title: Stalled

Genre: Sci-Fi

Runtime: 19:55

Description: Pete is running late for a meeting when he finds himself stuck in a time paradox in the restroom...

"If Pete wants any chance to escape the temporal trap he's in, he's got to change his attitude fast -- or else risk being killed by his own desperate, cornered self." Got me thinking! I only watch short films every now and then, but this one was awesome. Thanks, Nick!

Title: Cautionary Tales

Genre: Drama

Runtime: 08:04

Description: A bizarre incident as a young boy left Aaron with an unusual facial disfigurement that has plagued him all his life. Isolated and vulnerable, Aaron seeks comfort in the friendship and understanding of an unexpected group of outcasts.

Nobody has mentioned the Love Death + Robots shorts on Netflix. Do they count?

Yes, I think they fill the criteria. Although since you need a Netflix account to watch them it's kinda difficult to put them here. ;)

Still Life

A pill-popping, over-caffeinated driver accidentally hits something. Panic-stricken, he searches for help in a strange and desolate town that offers very little in the form of human kindness.

8:49

This is pretty old, upscaled 360p is the best I can find.

    • Less powerful than a PS5 at twice the price! I wonder if they use that for marketing? Totally DoA.

    • How does it compare to the "SeeStar S30 Pro" and the "Vespera PRO 2"?
    • Indeed. And note that those units are MUCH cheaper than this new Steam Machine...ahem.
