I guess if you call Jet Sking a sporting event then yes I have..

Was going ~50mph on an Yamaha GP1300R when this boat out of no where cut me off.. Didn't even look before pulling out.

Next thing I know I hit the wave right behind him soaring through the air and I fall off.. Skidding across the water like it's cement.

Concussion

I used to do downhill and street riding on mountain bike. One day I misjudged a jump and overshot the landing about about 3 metres. I landed heavily and my face hit the ground which had lots of flint sticking out of it. My face unfortunatley landed on one sharp piece which cut right through my lips, from my nose right down to my chin. That hurt. A lot. My mum fainted when she saw it! lol

I guess I was lucky though, my mate did the same jump a few years later and ended up smashing two vertebrae in his neck and almost cutting his jugular vein.

It was shortly after that I gave up riding.

I did run into a car when I was biking. No injuries ...thank goodness it was..erm...parked. Word to the wise...never take your eyes off the road...

Too bad you learned that 30 years late eh Boog. :p

I have been quite fortunate. Just broke my nose in the winter playing foot hockey at school. The damn ball was froze and I got it in the beak.

While playing street basketball with some friends, I was hit by a garbage truck. Broke both pelvis bones and my right femur bone (the largest bone in your body). I was airlifted to the hospital... spent about 4 months in the hospital, 6 months in a body cast, then a few months on crutches. The friggin garbage truck literally ran over my legs, leaving my right leg completely covered with brown scars. I had to get a few skin grafts where they cut the skin from my left leg and put it on my right leg because scar tissue doesn't grow.

Anyways, a while after that I broke my femur bone again while playing school baseball. My doctor said the bone was fine, but the muscle was abnormally strong in one area because the truck accident altered my muscle structure. Spent 2 weeks in the hospital, 2 months in a body cast, and 2 months on crutches that time. Now I refuse to play sports, although I still can run the mile in about 8 mins.

Broken thumb, dislocated shoulder playing baseball. Concussion, broken almost all fingers, torn ligament in my wrist, a few shattered bones in my foot, pinched nerve in my neck and countless bruises and other typical injuries playing hockey. I think the concussion was the only one that kept me from playing the next shift after getting hurt. But I am not missing any teeth, I always wear a cage.

broke my nose, ripped all the tendons in my pinkie on my right hand, fractured 4 fingers and 1 toe, dislocated my right thumb several times, torn cartilage in my right shoulder, strained ligaments in my right knee and both ankles....

...all from volleyball, if anyone tries to say volleball isn't a real sport, i'd invite them to play it 11 months a year at the national level. :ninja:

Just because you get hurt doing something, does not make it a sport. The fact that you defended yourself right away shows doubt, lol. Because volleyball is not a hard sport to pick up, I played it for my high school, which routinley a top 3 in CIF every year. To many people on the court at once, when two people are playing, that is impressive.

Volleyball's awesome! That reminds me...I shattered my pinky playing Volleyball in college...

Twisted ankle a few times. Some worse than others. Broke a toe playing sand football. Tore the muscle on the upper-back part of my leg. It's been almost 10 years since that happened, so I forget the name. Did it running track. Got knocked out playing football in high school...just for a couple seconds though. You really do see stars though :) I think that's about it. So nothing too bad.
