waysidesc
are there any differences between dell latitude 7480 and dell latitude e7480 ? i know that the former was released in 2017 ... but i do not know of differences between the two. i searched but too many sites were just simply not helpful. even the english wikipedia page is unhelpful : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dell_Latitude#xx80_Models_(2017) thank you for any assistance ! Jim K Global Moderator Posted April 28, 2020 Global Moderator Share Posted April 28, 2020 What E7480 ? Per your source... "Dell used the 'E-series' name up through the 2016 models, and new 2017 models drop the "E." xx80 Models (2017) 7480: 14.0" Ultraportable (7th gen Core i3/i5/i7) 7389: 13.3" 2-in-1 Ultraportable (7th gen core i3/i5/i7) Exx70 Models (2016) E7470: 14.0" Ultraportable (6th gen Core i3/i5/i7) E7270: 12.5" Ultraportable (6th gen Core i3/i5/i7) This seems to be further confirmed by doing a Google search for E7480 and 7480. Only 7480 comes up with a DELL link. E7480 pulls sources from websites other than DELL (which makes me believe they are using the "old" nomenclature) waysidesc 1 Share
Mindovermaster Moderator Posted April 28, 2020 Moderator Share Posted April 28, 2020 ^Yeah, E#### is the 2016 (6th gen) brands. They dropped the E after 2017 (7th gen) brands. waysidesc 1 Share

I first asked because I see several online listings for the selling of such a product on ecommerce sites such as ebay, and i thought i recalled seeing such elsewhere but ... it may be that my memory is going. Different companies, or people, (eBay) aren't the smartest people around...
