timnov
I’ve decided to build a gaming pc on a budget of $800 and as of right now so far after some research on parts and looking to see what would be good this is what i have decided to choose for the main Just wanted to know if this is a good choice or if there’s better options with a slightly raised price, I’m looking to play games on at least medium quality graphics with a good/high fps ??? Mindovermaster Moderator Posted May 2, 2020 Moderator Share Posted May 2, 2020 (edited) If you want to save money, I would go with an AMD CPU. I think the RX 580 is a better card. Think the 580 was $150 for me. But wait for someone else. Do you currently have an SSD? or an M.2 SSD? Samsung is your best bet bang/buck for both. goretsky Supervisor Posted May 3, 2020 Supervisor Share Posted May 3, 2020 Hello, I have edited your message to replace the link to the motherboard with the manufacturer's actual page for it. That way anyone wishing to assist you will have the most accurate information to do so. Qblade_ Editor Posted May 3, 2020 Editor Share Posted May 3, 2020 Here's a list I created for a $1,000 gaming PC that can handle both gaming and workstation tasks easily. You can cut costs on some components if you want to stick with $800 budget. For example, you can change the CPU to Ryzen 5 2600, for GPU you can get EVGA RTX 2060, maybe get a SATA SSD for 500 GB or a 500 GB Nvme SSD. You can even swap motherboard for ASRock B450 Steel Legend. There are plenty of options but I would recommend going for AMD CPU as it can handle all kinds of work loads and make sure you pick a SSD for your boot drive.
