Mozillazine shutdown

Recommended Posts

Unfortunatly, the site is shutdown because they cant affort the 4000 USD they need for the server to run their forum.. Mozillazine is the forum for FireFox, ThunderBird and Mozilla suite.

Sad news since there is a new FireFox.

they are looking for some generous donators....

Correct me if I'm wrong but most of ppl download special builts from other guys and these builts are on other servers.. So the download stuff bandwitdth is not on this server...

You don't realize how much stress forum software puts on a server.

Well it is text, along with graphics ( the buttons and stuff ) Now think of it like this, everytime you view the forums, it has to come up with all that. It may not be much if only one person is viewing it at a time, but the Mozillazine site and forums were hammered when Firefox and Thunderbird come out. A lot of people grabbing a little bit of data each is the same as one person grabbing a huge download

explain me because no I don't :(

A forum is text for me and no huge file to download...

It has little to do with the content that comes to you, it's the amount of work that must be done to generate that page. There's a fair complex script running that forum and it needs a lot of horsepower to run.

they aren't actually closing down are they - its not shut down either.

They want some more money to move onto a new server, and are accepting new donations to do this. I have no doubt that they will probably meet their targets; if that doesn't work i imagine the site will be absorbed by the mozilla group = thus no more problem.

    • Marshall Major V Bluetooth headphones are now up to 47% off on Amazon by Ivan Jenic The Marshall Major V in Midnight Blue is currently $89.99 on Amazon, down from $169.99. That's 47% off and $80 saved on a pair of wireless on-ear headphones from one of the most recognizable names in audio. The Major V is Marshall's take on a long-lasting everyday headphone. The headphones deliver 100+ hours of wireless playtime, which puts them in a completely different category from most Bluetooth headphones that hover around 30-40 hours. You’re charging this thing once a week at most, and with wireless charging supported, you don’t have to worry about additional cables. Marshall promises its signature sound profile, with strong bass, smooth mids, and clear highs. There’s a customizable M-button, which you can set to quickly access Spotify Tap, your EQ settings, or a voice assistant. The design is foldable and lightweight at 186 grams, so it’s easy to pack for travel. And finally, the faux leather finish gives the Major V a sleek, premium look. At $89.99, the Major V Midnight Blue is a genuinely strong buy for anyone who wants a reliable daily headphone without paying premium prices. It’s also worth mentioning that the Cream and Brown variants are also discounted to $89.99, though from a lower original price of $99.99.
