Huawei MediaPad M5 battery issue

For the past few days I've noticed some strange battery behaviour. When I charge it to 100% (that's what the screen shows), I unplug it, leave it be, don't use it at all, but my battery procent show 82%. I don't know how this is possible.

Battery usage shows Google Play Store 8% and says it's running.

The tablet is used for watching Youtube and a few games. Until now it's been great. Any idea what could be the issue?

It sounds like one of the cells inside the battery pack has failed.
