Sir Topham Hatt
I know buying the printer for a few hundred pounds is obviously expensive but wondering if the plastic and electric makes 3D printing expensive? I doubt I'll use it every day but there's quite a lot I can think I'd print as there's quite a few board games that could do with pieces updating. Have no clue how to use CAD software (although could try and learn), but there seems to be a lot of stl files for free on the Web. Cheers!
Dick Montage
I've a friend who recycles plastics into his 3D printing material... So maybe that side of the cost can be reduced. Sir Topham Hatt 1 Share
Brandon H Supervisor Posted November 3, 2020 Supervisor Share Posted November 3, 2020 looking around it doesn't look like the ink/plastic is much more expensive than your standard printer ink cart, and as far as power goes it shouldn't use any more power than your PC; possibly a bit less.
